Two new papers out: Quality measures in the EMU and heritability and linkage analysis using inbred singletons

A pair of papers (unrelated to each other) I co-authored were recently published.

  1. Time to response and patient visibility during tonic-clonic seizures in the epilepsy monitoring unit. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1525505018305936
  2. Contribution of inbred singletons to variance component estimation of heritability and linkage. https://www.karger.com/Article/Abstract/492830

The first paper is a retrospective study of quality measures in the EMU from two clinical trials. The second paper is theoretical work that shows that inbred singletons can contribute information for estimating heritability and linkage analysis of traits and benchmarks this contribution against sib-pairs.
